Susan Benarcik

I just came upon Susan Benarcik's work at the Narrative Thread show at Lyons Wier • Ortt Gallery in Chelsea, NY. The above piece, “Geminiflorous” uses strips of text cut from books to create the amazing hollow orbs, reminiscent of paper-mache-over-ballon craft done in youth. I also found the photos below, from her website here.
